The Cheltenham Festival 2013 is underway and punters will be hoping that this year’s Festival is a profitable one. A very profitable Cheltenham Festival was had by many last year when it turned out that going to the toilet at the racecourse during the Cheltenham Festival was leaving punters flush.
It may sound bizarre but OLBG.com, sponsors of the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle, added 10 posters for the week above the urinals at the course, each containing a tip for the Cheltenham Festival. These tips were the best bets of the week according to the highly knowledgeable OLBG members and their knowledge was certainly to the benefit of the punters as the first 8 of those tips went on to win their races. Some of the tips were shorter priced favourites, some were lesser fancied outsiders and anyone who placed a £1 accumulator on the first 8 tips would have taken home £48,031! The ToiletTips were born.
The #ToiletTips were not only available at the course, OLBG.com published them each day on their website and also on Twitter (follow @OLBG for updates) and they became so sought after on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival where they had so far created a 100% record that ‘#ToiletTips’ was even trending on Twitter. Unfortunately the record couldn’t continue on Gold Cup day but one of the last two tips did finish a close second leaving the 2012 Toilet Tips with a record of 8 winners, 1 2nd place and 1 unplaced finisher.
The OLBG Toilet Tips are back by popular demand as sponsorship of the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle continues for a second year. This year there is an added twist as the Toilet Tips take on the bookies not only financially but also in a challenge to see who can tip the most winners in 2013 Toilet Tip races. Paddy himself from Paddy Power, Michael Shinners from SkyBet, Rory Jiwani from Stan James and Charlie McCann from BetVictor have all put their necks on line with their selections against the Toilet Tips and it will be a fascinating contest as the week progresses.
